Why we don’t use Soy:

Soy candles pose environmental concerns?

More than 90% of soy is genetically modified! GM soy crops are heavily sprayed with toxic pesticides, causing harm to both the harvesters and the soil. So if you are buying soy candles, chances are you are supporting the production of GMO’s–which devastate our environment and our health. Soy products are commonly Genetically Modified bleached and hydrogenated. Aesthetically, soy wax is not pretty and candles often develop bumps and lesions while burning. Soy wax also goes rancid without preservatives and some soy wax candles contain additives and hardeners. Toxic pesticides are often used on soy crops.
Soy candle makers are limited by the type of candle they can make because the wax is so soft. They are unable to make pillars, tapers or ornamental.
They also require large amounts of agricultural land and processing. This threatens wildlife and biodiversity. It also adversely affects people, the global climate, water reserves and soil quality. In South America, almost 4 million hectares of forests are destroyed every year, 2.6 million of them in Brazil alone.

Simply Natural 100% pure Beeswax candle.
Beeswax Candle Facts:
Beeswax is the all natural, non-toxic waxy substance secreted by bees after they consume honey. Bees use this wax to construct their honeycombs, and when cleaned and filtered, it can be used for beautiful and beneficial candles.
Many people prefer beeswax to paraffin candles because as an all natural product, they are more attractive to individuals who practice a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle. The bees are not harmed in the production of beeswax candles, and because it takes approximately 33 million visits to flowers for bees to create a single pound of beeswax, many individuals also feel beeswax has a stronger spiritual connection to the power and productivity of nature than other types of candles. It is the beeswax candle health benefits that attract most users and those benefits can be substantial depending on the type of candle and the health of the person burning it.

Why We Only Use Local 100% Beeswax For Our Candles:

Beeswax candles are reputed to have several health benefits, including…
Lower Toxicity: Because beeswax candles are all natural, they do not produce toxic by-products. Some types of candles produce minute traces of chemicals known to be carcinogenic, but this is not a problem with beeswax candles.
Neutralizing Pollutants: Beeswax candles produce negative ions when burned, and those ions help to neutralize pollutants in the air. This helps eliminate dust, odors, and mould in the atmosphere, so they can effectively reduce asthma, allergies, and hay fever.
Relaxation: The simple act of burning a candle has relaxing properties and can aid in stress relief and meditation. The mildly sweet, natural honey scent of beeswax candles can aid that relaxation without being overwhelming as artificially scented candles can become.
Safety: Because beeswax candles are all natural and produce no by-products, they are naturally non-drip when used properly and are thus safer to burn. This avoids the risk of burns and other injuries that can result from burning other types of candles improperly.
Light: Beeswax candles have the brightest, purest light of any candles and are closest to natural sunlight. If the candles are to be used as a light source, this can help minimize eye strain and reduce headaches.
